Neither four legs nor feathers but ...

Post  Raymondo on Sun Apr 20, 2008 4:18 am

my worms are great. I have two worm bins working, those round Can o' Worms bins. When I started out I had a series of problems - population not growing, horrible smells, maggots (yuck) - but now everything runs smoothly. I don't generate enough scraps to have a straight compost heap so the worm bins suit me well and I make good use of the exudate/leachate (worm wee). I haven't started harvesting the vermicast as I haven't decided yet what I'll do with it.

Oh Ray.... you sweet talker.... I run 3 worm farms...... love my slimmy little wormies......

Great way to recycle scraps and also free food for the garden..... but not for the chooks/ducks...... can't murder the worm workers.......

Lost count how many times I have helped to start up a worm farm.
