Rain in SA

Post by Lucky1 on Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:03 pm

Looks promising here in Luckyland. Wind has come up and this is what the BOM map looks like. Raining here now as well. Everyone is tucked away safe and sound for the night.

We have been getting good heavy rain all weekend , have you measured how much yet?I wait for the local paper to come out to tell me, but I think we might have had more in the last 3 days than the last 3 months.Yippee (the sour sobs are lovin' it) tongue

This is what was left over and moved offshore. We are getting regular rain now for weeks.

Plenty of rain here. We live on top of a hill, though. So we seem to get higher rainfall than average. No complaints.
It's freeeeezing here. Forecast to be like that for the whole week. Brrr.... layers and layers. All woollies on deck!

Just had our first fine day for yonks - only 8 degrees though. Managed to give the onions a bit of a feed and boost the remaining cauliflowers, silverbeet and brussels. Picked up my quilt from the quilting lady and gave her two more to do then got some more strawberry plants. Neighbour donated some weedmat so tomorrow I'll plant the strawbs.
