Vase of flowers

I know I showed you this before it was quilted, but thought I'd show you a completed quilt for a change.

And the detail

Thanks Lucky. I made it to use up a lot of oriental prints I had in my scrap bag, I'm quite pleased with it. I've just started one for myself (trying to use up more scraps!) I include some material from the previous quilt in each quilt I make, a sort of 'keep the chain together" When I've done this one, I am planning a black and red quilt for Charmaine's lounge. Not sure how the colours will work out, but we'll see. I think your sister will thoroughly enjoy it - I find it very satisfying. I'm going to site and hand quilt a little throw quilt I made in a crazy stars design, extremely bright coloured , for one of the boys to have to play on. I'll post a picture when its done.

I have 11 balls each of pale blue, peach and lemon Cleckheaton Caprice 8 ply. I't's been cluttering up a drawer in my workroom for a couple of years now. If you can use it, I'd be happy to post it to you. I don;t want anything for it, refund on the postage will be fine. PM me your address if you are interested. It's fluffy.

for some reason I can't see the pictures scratch
I don't usually have that problem...

Edit - strange, I can now after I posted this Shocked

I can see why you use your quilter - what a marvellous finish to an already beautiful design. Very Happy

Yes, it's bizzy and more floral than I usually do. I hope she likes it otherwise I'll have to sell it on ebay. Mad Mad

I've made a start on my summer quilt this morning. Frost outside, no way I'm getting my tootsies chilled!

Lovely combination! So far I've liked all the quilts that you have shown. You have an eye for colours, shapes and combinations, that's for sure! Smile
