Television I am watching
I only really enjoy two shows at this time - "House" which has the most brilliant dialogue and "Life on Mars" which has everything - Starsky and Hutch type cops and some of the best drawn characters I've seen for years. Both finish next week so I don;t know what I'll do for veg time.
Re: Television I am watching
I love all the crime shows and current affairs, Like to watch Landline most weeks as well
Re: Television I am watching
We gave up TV last year and now have soooo much free time!
So I guess I can't really comment here!
Anything really important we can download from the net (Gardening Australia, Landline) and choose just what we want to watch and when!
Works for us!

Sshhh don't tell anyone....... but its great knitting shows, Days of our Lives and Bold & the Ugly
Now the really good show are the CSI, Supernatural (don't knit when that one is on, also don't talk to me while that one is on.... unless your the elf and need me) and Ghost Whisper.
Got hooked on Home & Away when my right ankle was in plaster Nov 2005 or 2006... never watched the show before then.
World stops for MASH..... even name the gang out the back after some of the characters after them.
Love those afternoon movies based on real life stories.......
I clean all morning and the afternoons are mine to do as I wish...... Hey how come I'm still cleaning this arvo

I had the same problem with the Titanic when i was laid up with my foot in plaster..... went to sleep and missed out on the end of the movie.....

Re: Television I am watching
Thee - I fall asleep too - mostly because I figure out the villain then there's no point watching the rest. I do love House - it is so tongue in cheek and ridiculous plots that suck you right in, suits my warped sense of humour. Food Safari, repeats or not inspire me, can't stand snotty little Jamie Oliver, sorry, his mum probably loves him. I used to love Morse but sadly the actor died and they no longer show repeats. Did anyone watch Jekyll? What a mammoth acting job!
Lucky! You missed the end of Titanic! That was the whole story gone down the drain! We watched it again on video, my daughter cried, Olivia cried - she's a Libra and in love with the idea of Love. Carmen thought sliding down the chutes into the water would be fun! She's a Sagittarius and sure doesn't have a sentimental streak!

We went to the cinemas to watch Titanic and the a/c died.... full house while Jack was dieing in the icy water, we were sweating and got free tickets for it.....
Daughter has it on DVD and so I can't really say how many times I have watched it... be heaps though.... such a romantic movie.

Re: Television I am watching
Watched new show East of Everything (ABC) last night not bad ...shall keep watching...am (like millions of other Aussies) through watching Underbelly become fascinated with the Melbourne underworld....
Re: Television I am watching
guzzigirl wrote:, Monk.
I love Monk... I can identify with some of his phobias...lol... I hate contact germs... so I try not to touch elevator buttons ( use keys), public toilet door handles (scrunched loo paper), escalator rails ( tend to use arm rather than hand), traffic light buttons (elbows). Weird, Eh?

I like most of the ABC dramas etc ..would you believe I tape "The Bill" if going out on Sat night...also really enjoy Midsommer Murders..
Re: Television I am watching
House is top rating here. The young Aussie doctor is the son of my friends real doctor in Melbourne - LOL.
We don't get ordinary reception so it's either DVD's which we buy a lot and share with the whole family (6 kids). Or it's satellite, which we should really get disconnected but I like to watch the odd gardening show or antiques road show, and hubby likes to exercise in the mornings with a music show on.
we have been told by the kids to watch life on Mars, but I don't know if it is available on DVD yet. DVDs give us the option of watching things in our own time. we only watch for a couple of hours in the evenings. I could count the number of times I have turned the TV on in the last 10 years or so, on 1 hand. Twice this year, for grandson to watch playschool. Otherwise rarely ever. It doesn't go on until Hubby turns it on after dinner.
I used to joke with our kids that I didn't know how to turn it on, only off, and would express amazement and disbelief when they told me it was the same button - LOL.
